Prostate Cancer
Our treatment options for prostate cancer include LDR brachytherapy, which we uniquely offer in Nebraska – making it ideal for rural patients. We also perform radical prostatectomy with advanced techniques like nerve-sparing and endopelvic-sparing methods. Our radiation oncology collaborations allow us to provide EBRT, SpaceOAR, Barrigel, and fiducial marker placement.
For advanced prostate cancer, we provide a range of options including antiandrogen therapy, bone health management with Xgeva, Vitamin D, and calcium, Provenge (Sipeulecal-T), and Xofigo (Radium-23). We regularly collaborate with medical oncology for Docetaxel and PARP inhibitors.
Kidney Cancer
We specialize in radical nephrectomy, including the management of tumor thrombus, with collaboration from vascular surgery for IVC tumor thrombus and TEE intraoperative monitoring. Our expertise in partial nephrectomy allows us to handle surgically challenging cases such as posterior masses, perihilar masses, and large masses. We also perform nephroureterectomy, Jelmyto treatment for low-grade upper tract urothelial carcinoma, and laser ablation for upper tumors, as well as ureterectomy with bladder reimplant.
Testicular Cancer
To diagnose testicular cancer, we offer in-house ultrasonography for precise imaging. Our radical orchiectomy is the gold standard for testis cancer care, and we collaborate with medical oncology for adjuvant chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Our Urology Oncology Clinic offers serum marker measurement both preoperatively and postoperatively.
Bladder Cancer
Our bladder cancer services include assessing risk levels and working closely with medical oncologists to provide pre-surgery therapy for muscle-invasive urothelial carcinoma. For muscle-invasive bladder cancer, our Urology Oncology Clinic can also perform radical cystectomy and provide bladder-sparing options through maximal TURBT, chemotherapy, and radiation collaboration. We offer adjuvant immunotherapy and chemotherapy, including BCG, cutting-edge Gem/Docetaxel, and Adstiladrin.
